When the left talks about a worker's state, It means the labourers from all groups, picking up spears and pushing the State and kings aside. Not to become a new state, but so that there is no longer a? state. Then democracy and reason may plan production and distribute resources. Abstractly it is slave society with the machines, owned in common, becoming the slaves. Human beings would be like the Ancient Greeks, democratic slave owners engaged in philosophy and planning.

It was at this very early time that the state was first made. A few people with spears would guard the grain store. They would be? paid (get food) to stop others being able to eat. This body was responsible to the organizers of the group. It protected itself and it's leaders to maintain the status quo. War and competition with other groups took on a new form too. The state would do the fighting and organize the labourers from this point on, taking slaves to do the work was only a step away.
